Teledermatology provides the ability for rapid dermatology consultation. The limitations of this technology relate to the inability for palpation of lesions and it is not ideal for the evaluation of pigmented lesions. Although every effort has been made to ensure security of patient data (including SSL encrytpion), a theoretical risk of data compromise always exists. The patient and / or legal guardian consents to the use of this technology.
